Task Force Handling Covid-19 Circular Letter Number 1 of 2023 Concerning Health Protocols

TASK FORCE HANDLING COVID-19 CIRCULAR LETTER NUMBER 1 OF 2023 CONCERNING HEALTH PROTOCOLS DURING THE TRANSITION PERIOD OF THE 2019 CORONA VIRUS DISEASE ENDEMIC (COVID-19)

Monitoring the development of the SARS-CoV-2 situation to improve control of the spread of cases worldwide and in Indonesia. It is necessary to adjust the health practice control mechanism during the transitional endemic period to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). Based on the considerations referred to in paragraph 1, it is necessary to make a circular letter regarding health service practices during the transitional endemic coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

All domestic and foreign travelers, actors of activities in public facilities, and actors of large-scale activities continue to strive for personal protection from Covid-19 transmission and:

  1. It is recommended to keep vaccinating against Covid-19 until the second booster or fourth dose, especially for people who have a high risk of Covid-19 transmission.
  2. It is allowed not to wear a mask when in good health and not at risk of contracting or transmitting Covid-19 and it is recommended to keep wearing a well-covered mask when in bad health or at risk of Covid-19, before and during travel and activities in public facilities.
  3. It is recommended to carry hand sanitizer and/or use soap and running water to wash hands regularly, especially if they have been in contact with objects that are used together.
  4. For people in unhealthy conditions and at risk of contracting or transmitting Covid-19, it is recommended to keep a distance or avoid crowds of people to prevent Covid-19 transmission.
  5. It is recommended to continue using the SATUSEHAT application to monitor personal health.

All managers and operators of transportation facilities, public facilities, and large-scale activities together with local governments are encouraged to:

  1. Continue to protect the public through preventive and promotive efforts to control Covid-19 transmission.
  2. Continue to supervise, guide, control, and enforce the implementation of health protocols to control Covid-19 transmission.

This Circular Letter is effective from June 9, 2023, provided that restrictions can be tightened again if there is a significant increase in cases.
