Investment Activity Reporting Deadline (LKPM) 1st Quarter of 2025

Indonesia as one of the main destinations for foreign investment imposes strict rules regarding the reporting of investment activities for companies with Foreign Investment status (PMA). The Investment Activity Report (LKPM) is the main obligation that must be fulfilled by every foreign company operating in Indonesia. Through LKPM, the government can monitor investment realization periodically and ensure that foreign companies conduct their business in accordance with applicable regulations. Therefore, compliance with this reporting obligation is a crucial factor for the continuity of foreign companies’ operations in Indonesia.

Deadline for LKPM (Investment activity report) Reporting Quarter 1 Year 2025

Based on the prevailing regulations, every foreign company that has a Foreign Investment (PMA) license is required to submit a quarterly Investment Activity Report (LKPM). For the reporting period January to March 2025, foreign companies are required to submit LKPM reports starting from March 17 to April 17, 2025. If the report is not submitted within the specified timeframe, the company may be subject to administrative sanctions that could potentially hamper its business activities in Indonesia. Therefore, it is very important for foreign companies to prepare LKPM reports completely and ensure that the documents submitted are in accordance with applicable regulations.

Sanctions for Foreign Companies that Do Not Report LKPM (Investment Activity Report)

Foreign companies that do not fulfill their Investment Activity Report (LKPM) reporting obligations will face various consequences that may negatively impact their business in Indonesia. Here are some of the sanctions that can be received if a company fails to report LKPM in a timely manner:

  1. Written Warning: The government will issue an official warning to foreign companies that do not fulfill their LKPM reporting obligations in accordance with the stipulated period.
  2. Suspension of Business License: If a foreign company still does not report LKPM after receiving a warning, the government may suspend the business license held by the company.
  3. Revocation of Business License: In more serious cases, foreign companies that continue to ignore LKPM reporting obligations may permanently lose their business license in Indonesia.
  4. Obstacles in Other Licensing Processes: Companies that have a history of non-compliance in LKPM reporting will face obstacles in applying for additional licenses or changes to business licenses in the future.
  5. Administrative Fines: The government is authorized to impose fines on companies that are found to have failed to report LKPM within the timeframe specified by applicable regulations.

Reporting the Investment Activity Report (LKPM) is an obligation that every foreign company operating in Indonesia must comply with. By reporting LKPM regularly, foreign companies can ensure compliance with investment regulations and avoid administrative sanctions that could harm their business. To ensure a smooth LKPM reporting process, it is important for foreign companies to understand the reporting deadlines and ensure that the documents submitted are in accordance with applicable regulations.
